[Celebrating an 85th Anniversary] February 16th is the anniversary of the launch of the “Soya”!＜Museum of Maritime Science＞

The first generation Antarctic research vessel "Soya", on display at the Museum of Maritime Science, was launched 85 years ago on February 16th, 1938 as "Borochaebetsu". This year thus marks its 85th anniversary!
To commemorate the 85th anniversary of the "Soya", the ship will be "dressed overall" on February 16th, the date of its launch.

In addition, the first 85 visitors will receive an "original Soya can badge" (with serial number).

We hope you take this opportunity to visit the "Soya".
