Awa Odori Festival ＜Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai＞

Awa Odori Dance will be held in Toyosu! Awa Odori will be held in Toyosu, Tokyo!
Five years earlier than the famous Koenji in Tokyo, the Awa Odori dance in Tokyo has its roots in Kiba, Koto-ku.
Later, the name was changed from "Kiba-ren" to "Tenke-ren" to make it more familiar to people outside of Kiba, and it continues to be active today.
This time, in the new town of "Toyosu Senkaku Manrai", we are pleased to invite Tenkei-ren, which has its roots in Koto-ku, as well as a group from Tokushima, the birthplace of Awaodori, one of the three major Bon Odori dances in Japan.
We hope that the Awa Odori will take root as a new culture, recalling the Kiba-ren.
Please come and enjoy the Awa Odori, a traditional Tokushima performing art said to have 400 years of history, at the Edo townscape "Toyosu Senkaku Banrai".
