A Masterpiece Woven by 50 Years of Collaboration, Concealing Beauty

" The Subtle Profundity of Science – Beauté Cachée de la Science " is a unique photo contest featuring photographs taken at scientific research sites where Japan, France, and other countries collaborate, as well as images captured by imaging devices used in research.
Organized annually since 2021 by the Science and Technology Department of the French Embassy in Japan, this contest aims to bring science closer to the public and strengthen connections between researchers in France and Japan.

This exhibition showcases 10 selected works from past finalists.
Each of them invites us into the world of research, a realm rarely encountered in daily life.
The exhibited works come from a wide range of scientific fields, reflecting the richness of Franco-Japanese scientific and technological cooperation, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024.
