The topic of the summer vacation research project is: SDGs Goal 14: Life below water.

We are holding the The Citizen Science Program, "Find What Coral Likes!", a hands-on experience for elementary and middle school students, at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation beginning on August 19th.
This time, we will conduct the world's first experiment on the question, "What do coral like to eat?"
We will offer children the experience of setting up a hypothesis on "Which foods do coral like and why?" and experimenting with actually giving food to coral and observing them.

◎Kickoff event: A panel session on "You are the one who will create the future of the world's oceans!"

We will explain the purpose of this project, introduce young ocean entrepreneurs who are actually and already acting on behalf of the future of the oceans, and hear from academics about the education that will be sought from now on from Japan, a maritime nation.

◎Special exhibits

①We will display a panel that introduces basic knowledge about coral and the crisis facing coral and raises the question, "How are the players engaged in ocean conservation performing their actions?"
②We will provide the experience of recreating a coral reef's ecosystem in an aquarium and being able to observe coral nearby.
