In accordance with Alfred Nobel's last will and testament, Nobel Prizes are awarded to "those who have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind.” The three natural science prizes for 2023 will be announced as follows: the Medicine Prize on Monday, October 2nd; the Physics Prize on Tuesday, October 3rd; and the Chemistry Prize on Wednesday, October 4th.
This year, on the day that each prize is announced, we will once again stream the program: Nico Nico Live Broadcast "Nobel Prize 2023 - An Evening with Science Communicators." In addition to providing basic information about the Nobel Prize, the program will also showcase reserach related to each prize so that viewers can enjoy the Nobel Prize, which will be announced on the same day as the broadcast.
