Within the "Intellectual Soft Manufacturing Revolution" Project, soft materials such as gel and silicone, found in things like jelly, konjac, and soft contact lenses, are being openly manipulated and new ways of using them are being explored.
Fake jellyfish that look just like the real thing are being created with soft materials, robots designed to feel like soft paw pads, and even more such as...

Hold on! To find out more, you need to visit the lab yourself. Come by and consider the potential of these soft materials while actually touching the things for yourself and seeing the machines that created them.
