AI Suitcase”Miraikan Navigation” Hands-on Experience ＜Miraikan＞

The "AI Suitcase" is a suitcase-shaped robot that automatically guides the visually impaired to their destination.
Equipped with various sensors, AI, and motors, it safely guides the user to their set destination while avoiding obstacles and people.
The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) and its partners have been working on developing the AI Suitcase, and up to now have conducted demonstrations in places like indoor facilities and promenades. Now we are conducting a navigation demonstration in which multiple destinations within the Miraikan can be freely selected and navigated to. This is to simulate using the service within the facility.

Procedure of the Experience
①Preliminary explanation (about 5 minutes)
②AI Suitcase navigation hands-on experience (about 10 minutes)
③ Fill out the questionnaire (optional)

Those who are 140cm or taller and have no anxiety/difficulty walking

◆How to Participate

Numbered tickets will be distributed at the reception desk in the Communication Lobby on the 1st floor. (Each day they will be distributed from 10:00 a.m. for the 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. demo session, and from 1:30 p.m. for the 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. demo session. Ticket distribution will end as soon as the capacity has been reached.)
