Three shops in the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) bring you insect food
Offering over 100 foods, including cricket dishes and insect sweets!
Insect eating, a part of our culture since for ages, has recently begun to garner worldwide attention.
Insects are rich in nutrients and have a small environmental impact. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has issued a report on insects as food and animal feed as a solution to international food problems.
The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation is creating an event for people to stop by and experience eating foods altered to contain insects in their museum shop, cafe, and restaurant.
Stop by and try one of their roughly 100 dishes and products.
