Thinking with Astronauts: Our Links with the Earth <Venue: Miraikan>

  • 2018-01-20 ~ 2018-01-20

Join us in welcoming back Mr. Ohnishi, an astronaut who has finished his time on the International Space Station’s 48th/49th long-term mission. Mr. Ohnishi will present his images of the earth from space, and discuss the environment on earth and in space. In addition, we will be hosting Nobuko Saigusa (National Institute for Environmental Studies), and Masayuki Takigawa (Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology) who will share their impressions of earth, as well as predictions for the future.

Furthermore, we invite you to think about our roles in earth’s future, by interacting with our earth display “Geo Cosmos” — a shifting projection of the earth, based on scientific data.
