We all blink roughly once every three seconds. If it were just to moisturize our eyes, then once every 15 seconds would be sufficient. The real reason we blink five times more than that has long been a mystery.

In our information society, our senses are at the forefront of everything we do. Even without handling an object directly, we can estimate the sensation of doing so. This is because from a young age, we build up a memory bank from our experiences and then learn from them.
