This community park space will open for a limited time only in Odaiba, Tokyo, for football fans to enjoy the FIFA World Cup™ 2018, which takes place in Russia. The action will unfold against the backdrop of the Rainbow Bridge, and Odaiba’s Statue of Liberty, in the Symbol Promenade Park. The community park will be open from Thursday June 14 until Thursday June 28, coinciding with the first match and the final of this year’s world cup.
Thursday 16 June will be marked by an opening ceremony, featuring special guest, former manager of Japan’s national soccer team, Philippe Troussier. In addition, from 21:00 on Tuesday June 19, the first round between Japan and Columbia will be live on air for a public viewing at Aqua City Odaiba, housed in the rooftop venue. Special guests including former Japan representative, Koji Nakata are set to make an appearance.
